01 / The collection
A piece of
the story.
Haberdash produced five merchandise pieces for The Original Build, an activation celebrating Microsoft’s 50th anniversary at Microsoft Build.
Rust-brown and cream totes, green foam trucker caps, and brown track jackets brought the campaign’s retro identity into products guests could take home. Patches and sticker packs rounded out the collection.
The cut-and-sew tote features handles secured inside the top hem, a centered MICRO SOFT graphic, and graduated cream stripes that run edge to edge across the lower front panel.

02 / The details
Small pieces.
Lasting character.
Custom patches and sticker packs carried the same retro graphics into a smaller format, including the classic MICRO SOFT lettering and retro developer-inspired artwork.
We made the totes, patches, and sticker packs at our facility in Richmond, Virginia.

03 / The experience
Back to the beginning.
At Microsoft Build at the Seattle Convention Center, The Original Build invited developers into a workspace inspired by Microsoft’s earliest days.
Vintage computing, coding challenges, and a 1970s setting connected the company’s beginnings with the people building what comes next. The merchandise extended that experience beyond the event.
